In true trash the dress fashion we are going to pay some homage to John Michael Cooper.
It has been said that there are no more original thoughts left, and every image has been taken before, but if you get a chance to check out Alt f you might change your mind. I have!
John is constantly coming up with radical concepts and translates them into his stunning images. Like when he set a bride on fire in the desert, or the ‘Ophelia’ bride, and of course the bride in the trunk of the car. The guy is a genius and he coined the latest incarnation of Trash The Dress. His images inspired countless photographers to do something different.
Oh yeah, and there was that time he sold his a shovel from the ‘bride in the trunk’ shoot to fellow photographer Joel Wiebner and the showel ended up going round the country from photographer to photographer on a Travelling Shovel tour.
See what I mean, Alt F makes people do crazy things, crazy but good.
Thanks John for inspiring us and being so generous in sharing your knowledge.

This is not a “Trash This Dress” photo but rather a “Kill This Bride” photo. I don’t appreciate the innuendo of murder.
LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!
The image of the bride on fire is most disturbing. I’m wondering if she survived or was injured. That is a tremendous amount of flame.
